• School Bus Safety Document

Students are under the authority of the bus driver while on the bus. The driver has the authority to assign seats and will report behavioral problems to school principals. School principals are responsible for discipline. Failure of students to abide by school and transportation rules may result in loss of the privilege to ride the school bus and other disciplinary actions if necessary.

Please note: All buses are equipped with a video camera.

A copy of bus rider safety rules shall be sent to parents at the beginning of the school year.  The information shall include a request that parents or their designee accompany their young children to and from the bus stop.  Also reference Nelson County School Board Police, Section J - Students: Code JFCC - Student Conduct on School Buses
