Homecoming Week is always exciting and packed with many activities. This past week was no exception. Each school held a spirit week to get ready for the big day - Homecoming. Division-wide, we saw students, staff, and community members dressed in their Green and Gold to show their NCPS pride.
Our community did not disappoint with their participation in the Nelson Booster tailgate and attendance and spirit during the game. The Marching Govs performed before the start of the game with a great set covering Paul Simon songs. Over 70 alumni joined the band before and during the game, playing right along as if they never missed a beat. The cheerleaders kept the crowd engaged and performed hard all game long. During the Halftime Homecoming activities, the princes and princesses were introduced and the Homecoming King and Queen were announced- Congratulations to Nicholas Wood and Chandler Giles. Students came out to cheer on their classmates and get ready for the Homecoming Dance taking place after the game. Our Govs played a hard-fought game and made us proud. And the fans were fan-tastic all game long!
Thank you to everyone who came out to support all of our Governors. It was a beautiful evening at Nelson County High School. The stands were packed and the fences were lined with fans. Your support of our Govs is greatly appreciated and you made the evening special.
Thank you!
