What is SEAC?
The Nelson County Public Schools SEAC is a volunteer group of parents, guardians, and educators formed to explore programs and resources for students with special needs and to provide an avenue for parents to communicate concerns and offer input regarding special education.
Who can participate in SEAC?
This group is open to all parents and caregivers of children with special needs. If your child has an Individualized Education Plan (IEP) or a 504 plan, or is being evaluated for one, we welcome your voice. If you have questions or would simply like to learn more about special education services in Nelson, all are welcome!
How can the Nelson County Public Schools SEAC help me?
We focus on organizing presentations and workshops to share important information with Nelson's parents and guardians. We aim to partner with schools and become a first-line resource for families. With your help, we can better understand current needs and offer solutions, support, and advocacy.
WE WANT YOU TO ADVOCATE FOR YOUR CHI LD.
Please join us!
Please watch for information before each meeting date to learn more about topics of discussion and other meeting details.
